The University of Kansas Center for Research on Learning:
Strategy Intervention Model (SIM) and the Content Literacy Continuum (CLC) Implementing Research-Based “Tiers of Support” in Secondary Schools

As expectations increase in secondary schools across the nation, the challenge of ensuring that all students achieve high standards is now becoming possible. The Content Literacy Continuum (CLC) was designed and developed by the University of Kansas Center for Research on Learning to help teachers address this very issue.

The CLC framework uses a team approach to successfully plan and implement school-wide change initiatives. Its flexible structure allows schools to develop personalized plans to address the unique needs found at each school. Teams use data analysis, collaboration, and the powerful instructional tools in the Strategic Instruction Model to tackle the challenges and create success for all kids.
