Corewell Health West Grand Rapids
Project SEARCH at Corewell Health West, operated by Kent ISD since 2010 and led by instructor Luann Newlove, offers interns a wide variety of internship experiences within a large and dynamic healthcare system. The site is unique because of the many different types of rotations available and the flexibility to create new ones when interns express interest. Interns gain hands-on experience in areas such as nutrition services, environmental services, IT support, patient care, hospitality, and more, developing valuable skills across many departments of the hospital. Looking ahead, the program is planning to increase the number of different rotations available to interns, offering even more choices for participating interns.
