About Us

The Michigan Association of Administrators of Special Education (MAASE) is a statewide professional network committed to advancing equitable, high-quality education for students with disabilities. Serving more than 800 leaders across Michigan, MAASE brings together administrators dedicated to strengthening leadership capacity, influencing effective policy, and improving outcomes through collaboration, advocacy, and continuous professional learning.

Rooted in the belief that all students deserve access to meaningful, inclusive educational opportunities, MAASE supports special education leaders in building systems that foster student success from birth through age 26. Our work is guided by a shared vision, clear mission, and strong professional standards aligned with CASE principles and ethical practices in educational leadership.

Through statewide collaboration, professional development, and collective advocacy, MAASE empowers administrators to lead with integrity, innovation, and impact, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive.
