Professional Bio

Amanda Hoffman serves as a Supervisor of Student Support Services for Clarkston Community Schools. With more than 25 years of experience in education, she has worked as a special education teacher, dean of students, virtual learning administrator, and special education supervisor.

In her current role, Amanda leads special education programming, compliance, Section 504 services, behavioral supports, staff development, paraeducator systems, and inclusive practices. A central focus of her work is strengthening collaboration between general and special education so students with disabilities have meaningful access to high-quality instruction, appropriate supports, and the least restrictive environment.

Amanda has helped develop districtwide systems related to Multi-Tiered Systems of Support, Section 504 procedures, least restrictive environment decision-making, paraeducator evaluation and training, behavioral supports, and professional learning. She works closely with administrators, educators, families, and community partners to create consistent, sustainable systems that improve outcomes for students and staff.

Amanda earned her Bachelor of Education from the University of Michigan–Flint, her Master of Education in Special Education and Educational Specialist degree from Oakland University, and her Special Education Administration and Supervisor of Special Education credentials from Eastern University. She is an active member of the Michigan Association of Administrators of Special Education.
