Currently "retired" and consulting with LEAs and ISDs around the state to improve programs/services for students with disabilities. Previously served as the EI consultant for Oakland Schools, the Director of Student Services in the Novi Community School District, and as a contracted lead monitor for MDE. Owner of Thayer-North Educational Consulting, LLC. Past president of MAASE and longtime member of the Legislative Action Committee. Recipient of the Oakland County Gwisdalla Award, MAASE Patricia Gilchrest-Frazier Award, Beekman Award, and CASE Outstanding Special Education Administrator Award.
