Providing a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) for our youngest learners presents a unique set of administrative opportunities and challenges. Local school districts often lack universal general education preschool, making creative continuum-of-placement options essential. In this webinar we will unpack the legal mandates and practical realities of preschool LRE. We will explore how districts can build robust partnerships, utilize community-based settings (including GSRP, Head Start, and childcare centers), and write defensible IEPs that reflect true individualized decision-making.
