Are you ready to take the next step in your leadership journey and support the development of others? Join us for the MAASE Leadership Coaching Preparation training—an interactive, one-day experience designed for individuals interested in becoming coaches under the MAASE 27h Mentoring Grant Project. This training will explore the core competencies, mindsets, and structures of effective leadership coaching. Participants will deepen their understanding of the distinctions between mentoring and coaching, engage in structured coaching conversations, and practice using tools such as coaching maps, strategic questioning, and reflective listening. Training Outcomes: Understand the purpose and role of coaching in educational leadership. Learn and apply essential coaching competencies such as active listening, building trust, and supporting reflection. Use coaching maps to guide structured, purposeful conversations. Engage in coaching triads to practice real-time coaching with peers. Reflect on your own coaching goals and identify next steps in your development. Who Should Attend: Aspiring coaches, experienced mentors looking to enhance their skills, and special education administrators seeking to support others through a coaching stance. This session is a requirement for new coaches serving under the 27h Grant (unless previously trained before April 2025). Additional Benefits: Upon completion and assignment to a coaching role, participants may be eligible for a $1,000 annual stipend per coachee and access to a monthly Community of Practice
