Program Overview

The MAASE New Administrator Academy enhances leadership capacity and supports administrator retention through structured mentorship and collaborative professional learning opportunities.

Participants engage in a highly supportive cohort model focused on leadership growth, relationship-building, reflective practice, and practical skill application.

Candidate Qualifications

Program candidates must be current MAASE members within their first three years serving in a special education administrative role.

Applicants must complete the program application and provide district supervisor commitment confirming support for:

  • MAASE event registration fees
  • Travel and hotel costs
  • Release time for participation
  • Attendance at required monthly events

Applications submitted without the supervisor assurance form will not be considered.

Program Acceptance

Program acceptance is not guaranteed. MAASE reserves the right to deny or defer applicants based on qualifications, program fit, or cohort capacity.

Accepted candidates will receive notification after all materials are submitted, no later than September 6.

Participants are also required to attend MAASE Summer Institute either before or after their NAA program year.
