Secondary Transition Community of Practice

About

The Secondary Transition Community of Practice (CoP) supports the critical work of preparing students for life beyond school, starting in middle school and continuing through age 26. Transition services touch every area of special education, from high to low incidence, which means this CoP brings together administrators from a wide range of backgrounds. The collaborative nature of our work often intersects with other groups, like SLIP, creating valuable opportunities for cross-team partnerships..

Now is an exciting time to join the Secondary Transition CoP! New federal legislation is strengthening the connection between vocational rehabilitation and education, and our work will focus on the redesign of Michigan's transition supports for students with disabilities. Be part of this essential effort to transform transition services and improve outcomes for students across the state.
