Enhancement Pack B - For Students who Experience Complex Sensory & Communication Needs

$100 per set.  Includes 1 set of Activity Cards as well as Facilitator Guide for each of the activities. (Each set accommodates up to 5 paraeducators in a group.  If trainers are training 30 paraeducators, they would need to order 6 of these).

Enhancement Pack B is designed to complement the MAASE Paraeducator Bootcamp Training, equipping paraeducators with the knowledge and tools necessary to support students with significant autism-related needs. These activity cards provide structured, individualized, and affirming strategies to create an engaging, safe, and supportive learning environment.

These students:

• May be autistic and experience high-support needs, including sensory sensitivities, difficulties with communication, and challenges with social interactions.

• Come from diverse cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic backgrounds, requiring individualized approaches that respect their identities and lived experiences.

• May use alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) systems, such as speech-generating devices, picture-based communication, sign language, or body language.

• Benefit from predictable, structured environments that reduce anxiety and provide consistency in their daily routines.

• Require individualized sensory supports, such as noise-canceling headphones, weighted vests, movement breaks, or fidget tools, to self-regulate and engage in learning.

• Have unique strengths and interests that, when honored and integrated into learning activities, increase engagement and motivation.
