Frequently Asked Questions

How do I register for MAASE events?

Event registration details can be found on each specific event's page on the MAASE website. Registration is typically available several weeks before an event and can be done online through our easy-to-use event platform.

Are MAASE events only for administrators?

While many events focus on leadership development for administrators, MAASE events are open to a range of professionals including teachers, coordinators, consultants, and anyone interested in improving special education practices.

I have a suggestion for an event, who do I contact?

If you have an event suggestion, please reach out to the MAASE Team. You can contact us via email at lindseyzeller@maase.org or use the contact form on our website. We welcome your ideas and strive to create relevant events that meet the needs of our community!

What is the cancellation policy?

Registration fees will be due (regardless of attendance) unless a cancellation request is received no less than seven (7) business days prior to the start of the event. Business days are defined as Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.

Example: If a professional learning event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 19, a cancellation must be received by Tuesday, March 10. The Saturday and Sunday in between do not count toward the seven business days.

  • Administrative Fee: A non-refundable administrative fee of 25% of the registration cost or $25 (whichever is less) will be applied to all cancellations, regardless of when the cancellation request is made.
  • Late Cancellations & No-Shows: Cancellations received fewer than seven (7) business days before the event, or failure to attend the event ("no-show"), are not eligible for a refund. The administrative fee does not apply in these cases, as no refunds will be issued.
  • Multi-Day Events: For multi-day events, the cancellation request must be submitted at least seven (7) business days before the event’s start date to qualify for a refund.

To cancel a registration, email Lindsey Zeller, MAASE Manager of Membership and Marketing, at lindseyzeller@maase.org.

What is the accommodations policy?

MAASE will do our best to ensure all reasonable accommodations and accessibility needs are taken care of. Requests should be made at the time of registration for an event.

Requests must be made within 10 business days prior to the event. If a request is made less than 10 business days before an event, our staff will do our best to accommodate, but cannot guarantee the accommodations will be available.
