Event Details

Kickoff your Summer Institute conference experience with one of our planned social events on Sunday, August 6th. Each event is sure to offer networking, connections and loads of fun! Please note that all of these events will occur at the same time so please only select one event to attend. We can't wait to see you soon!

The MAASE Deviation Open is open to everyone -- new golfers, wanna-be golfers, and experienced golfers and starts with a shotgun start at 12:00 noon at the Grand Traverse Resort Course. There will be team prizes and contests for the longest drive and closest to the pin. Please register individually before Sunday, July 24th. Anticipated team members can be identified during this registration. Acceptable golfing attire required.

The MAASE Cycle Social event will begin and end at Stonehound Brewery Company located just off the TART Trail outside of Acme. Lunch is only available from 12:00pm - 2:00pm, please plan your ride accordingly.     
*If you average 10 mph and do the 20 mile loop it will take you up to 2 hours. 
**If you average 15 mph and do the 50 mile loop it will take you 3+ hours.

Set out for adventure on one of the pathways and cycle at your own pace.  There are a variety of trails to choose from: 
TART Trail -  20 mile loop: https://traversetrails.org/trails/tart/

Leelanau Trail - 50 mile loop: https://traversetrails.org/trails/leelanau-trail/
(TART and/or Leelanau Trail are paved, with several town intersection crossings. Road bikes are recommended with up to 50 miles round trip from Acme to Suttons Bay)

VASA Trail - https://traversetrails.org/trails/vasa-pathway/(VASAVASAVASA Trail is off road and dirt trails.  Mountain bikes are recommended for a series of loops, accessible up off Bunker Hill Road)
